On April 2, 2026, the annual research conference of the “Inclusive Education” section was held, bringing together students, academic supervisors, and those interested in the development of teaching children with special educational needs. The session was guided by experienced academic supervisors Sergiy Sydoriv and Lidiia Sydoriv. Fourth-year students majoring in Primary Education, and Preschool Education took part in the conference, presenting the results of their research projects, which they had been developing over an extended period of time.
The participants were welcomed by Deputy Director of the College Tetiana Poliakovа and Head of the Preschool Department Oksana Sydoruk. In their opening remarks, they emphasized the importance of students’ research activities in their professional development, highlighted the relevance of the chosen topics, and wished the young researchers inspiration, confidence, and continued success in both their academic and teaching careers.
During the conference, participants presented original research addressing key issues in the organization of inclusive educational environments, the specifics of teaching and upbringing children with disabilities, the implementation of modern pedagogical technologies, and the use of innovative methods and approaches in teaching practice. Particular attention was given to play-based activities as one of the leading means of learning and development for children with special educational needs. The presenters demonstrated effective methods, techniques, and didactic games that foster cognitive activity, support the development of communication skills and emotional intelligence, and ensure successful socialization of children within a group setting.
The students’ presentations were distinguished by their depth, relevance, practical orientation, and high level of preparation. Each report was supported by presentations and examples from teaching practice, sparking lively discussions among the participants. The conference was held in a friendly, creative, and productive atmosphere. It became an important stage in summarizing students’ research achievements and contributed to the exchange of experience, ideas, and the professional growth of future educators.
Such events play a crucial role in developing research skills, fostering critical thinking, and preparing students to implement innovative approaches in their professional practice. We are pleased that the administration of our institution actively supports the academic growth of its students. We express our sincere gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to study, work, advance research, and organize educational events in these challenging times.
